Tender Loving Empire (sometimes abbreviated as TLE) is an independent record label and retail consignment store based in Portland, Oregon.〔http://www.portlandmercury.com/portland/once-more-with-feeling/Content?oid=770317〕 The record label began in 2005 and the first Tender Loving Empire store opened in June 2007 in Northwest Portland.
